Description
This is not a solicitation, but a Notice of Contract Action. The United States Air Force (USAF), air Force, Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Contracting Division (AFDW/A7KM), intends to award a sole source Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract to The Surgical Equipment People to repair a leak at the proximal end of bending rubber, replace insertion tube, adjust angulation safety and conduct a function test. Under the authority of USC 2304(c)(1) pursuant to FAR 6.302.1(2)(b)(1)(i), the propoerty or services needed by the agency are available from only one responsible source or only from a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of property or services will satisfy the needs of the agency. A determination not to compete this requirement is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the Government. This announcement is not a request for competitive quotations. Inquiries should be directed no later than 12:00 p.m., 27 Sep 2007, referencing FA 7014-07-T-A008, to Ms. Antoinette Ingram, Contract Specialist, antoinette.ingram.ctr@bolling.af.mil. The Government will review all responses, without prejudice, whether or not the Government initially determines that another firm is fully qualified to fulfill the U.S. Air Force Surgeon General requirement. Note: If documents are sent via email, the contractor will be responsible for validating Government receipt by calling the contract specialist at (202) 767-7939. No solicitation is available and telephone requests for information will not be honored.
