Description

65 - Sources Sought - Tempur-Pedic mattresses. The VISN 9 Acquisition Service Center, 3400 Lebanon Pike, Murfreesboro, TN 37129 intends to negotiate sole source with Hill-Rom to purchase Tempur-Pedic mattresses for the VA Medical Center, 1101 Veterans Drive, Lexington, KY 40502. The NAICS code #337910 applies to this procurement. The small business standard is 500 employees. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their intent and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotations. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. However, all inquiries received on or before 4:00 P.M. EST on Wednesday, September 26, 2007 will be considered by the Government. No solicitation package is available. Faxed or telephone inquiries will not be accepted. Inquiries should be directed to the Contracting Officer at Danita.Autenrieth2@va.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The anticipated award date is September 27, 2007.
