- Description
- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement is the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Solicitation number is 128715 and is issued as a (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-20. The NAICS code is 511210. This requirement is unrestricted and does not have a set-aside. Offerors must be registered in Central Contract Registration (CCR). This acquisition is firm-fixed price and solicited on a Brand Name basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 (c). The description and specification provided herein, is essential to the Governments requirement. The Government will award a single purchase order to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the requirements as stated in this synopsis and is most advantageous to the Government based on the lowest price. The government requirement for the purchase, delivery for: Line Item (1): AppleCare Protection Plan for MacBook Pro/PowerBook (w/or w/o Display) (Qty- 57) Line Item (2): MacBook Pro, 15-inch, 2.4GHz (Qty- 57) Line Item (3): Parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac (Qty- 57) The following DHS Provision are applicable: * 3052.209-70 Prohibition on Contracts with Corporate Expatriates * 3052.204-90 Unauthorized Use of Name The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: * FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items * FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation--Commercial Items. Award will be based on: 1) price; and 2) the capability of the services offered to meet the above stated salient characteristics * FAR 52.212-3 Offerors Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items * FAR 52-212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items * FAR 52-212.5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items By submission of an offer, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee shall be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment from any award resulting from this solicitation. Quotations are due by 9:00 am EST on Thursday, September 27, 2007.
