Hospital spaces must be maintain ed in order to adequately support patient care operations. The Office of Facility Management OFM located in building 10 room B1L410 has identified a need for furniture cleaning an d maintenance services throughout all patient care and publi c spaces in the CC complex. Period of Performance The contract period for these services will run for one year from date of award. Contractor Eligibility Requirements The contractors primary place of business must be located within the Washington Metr opolitan area. The contractor must have at least three year s of service and support in a healthcare environment and be certified by Federal Supply Schedule furniture manufactures on the care and maintenance of hospital grade furniture. Th e contractor must demonstrate through evidence of formal tra ining or experience the following skills: experience with ma intenance repair and installation of various types of furnit ure from occasional seating, conference furniture to highly specialized healthcare furniture which supports behavioral h ealth populations. Contractor Performance RequirementsThe contractor shall Twice a year provide a comprehensive inspection service of all loose furniture in the NIH Clinical Center floors B2 thr u 13. Reinstall any items that may have become loose or fallen of f such as base covers tack boards keyboard trays lens covers furniture legs etc. Chair repairs and demonstrations Wood and metal touch-ups as well as spot cleaning as necess ary Furniture adjustments to help ensure proper ergonomic envir onment Identification and reporting of anything that needs immedia te repair or replacement Reduction in cost of service of repairs that may not be cov ered by the original manufacturers warranties In-service training for anyone who needs to know more about the function of any product Trouble calls with a repair technician on site within 48 ho urs of notification Government Responsibilities The OFM will provide the contractor with reasonable access to patient care spaces for maintenance and inspection of fur niture. The OFM will provide the contract with the original furniture drawings and specifications for maintenance and s pot cleaning repairs. Request for Quote Interested bidders must submit a qualification and referenc e package along with a lump sum price for twice yearly inspe ction services. Criteria for Award Contract will be awarded based on the contractors ability t o meet the unique requirements of this order. Weighting req uirement for price will only be approximately 20 percent wit h 80 percent of the weight having to do with the contractors ability to meet the specific requirements stated above.
