- Description
- Demonstrate the capability for a self-propelled modular transporter to move heavy packages. Then, off-load and land haul services from Port of Benton in Richland, WA to Hanford, WA. Annual Requirement for a base year period of performance (estimated to begin August, 2008) with the possibility of (4) one year option periods. Only 2 packages will be moved in either option year 3 or option year 4. Approximate size of the packages to be off-loaded, hauled and placed in the disposal trench are: horizontal cylindrical packages, 2200 short tons. Estimated quantities include 2 Group D packages in the third option year. Complete specification requirements will be included in the solicitation. Land haul demonstration to take place in January 2009. Shipment of the Group D packages to take place in August 2011. A technical proposal is required with each offer. This shall be an unrestricted solicitation and will not be a commercial acquisition. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by FISC, Puget Sound. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments shall be posted to the NECO website: http://www.neco.navy.mil. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from the website and for frequently monitoring the site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents. No telephone or FAX requests will be accepted, and no hard-copy solicitation/amendment will be mailed or faxed. Electronic submission of proposals is not available at this time. Facsimile proposals will not be accepted. The solicitation is not available at this time. The solicitation should be available approximately 12 Oct 2007.
