- The US Army Medical Command has a requirement for High Definition Exera II Video System Tower. The Government intends to award a contract for this requirement. The suggested contractor is OLYMPUS SURGICAL AMERICA, ONE CORPORATE DRIVE, Orangeburg, Ne w York, 10962. CLIN # 0001 THRU 0018: They are considered a technological leader in surgical products. Currently there are two OLYMPUS TOWER being used in the operating room. The components are not interchangeable with any other different brand of equipment. The High Def inition Exera II Video System tower uses the EndoEYE laparoscope which is unique from other laparoscopes. The OLYMPUS SURGICAL AMERICA is the only vendor that can provide this technology and meets these requirements. Other laparoscopes used a technology that attaches a rod lens at the end of the scope and is viewed from outside the body of the patient This is not a request for proposal. However, companies that can provide an equal product must submit their technical capabilities to include technical specifications of their product, past performance information, price and delivery time. This informatio n will be reviewed by the Government technical representatives for consideration for future requirements.
