- Description
- This is not a solicitation, but a Notice of Contract Action. The United States Air Force (USAF), Air Force 79TH Medical Group, Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Contracting Division (AFDW/A7KM), intends to award a sole source Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract to the Swank Motion Pictures, Inc. SWANK shall provide continuing education program called ?Healthnet? on CD-ROM as well as internet. Swank will provide Patient Education consisting of a series on health and wellness information, along with a patient room movie entertainment program titled ?Hospital Digital Cinema. The program includes 28 Full length major feature movies whose titles are edited and selected based upon hospital, community and patient demographics. SWANK will assume full responsibilty for all studio royalty reporting and payment of royalty fees to the studios and producers. Under the authority of USC 2304(c)(1) pursuant to FAR 6.302.1(2)(b)(1)(i), the property or services needed by the agency are available from only one responsible source or only from a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of property or services will satisfy the needs of the agency. A determination not to compete this proposed contract is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the Government. This announcement is not a request for competitive quotations. Inquiries should be directed no later than, 8:00 a.m., 28 Sep 2007, referencing F1D4527247A001, to Ms. Lasondia Chaney, Contract Specialist, lasondia.chaney@bolling.af.mil. The Government will review all responses, without prejudice, whether or not the Government initially determines that another firm is fully qualified to fulfill the 579th MDG requirement.
