- The is a Sources Sought in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplmented with additional information included in this notice. The Government intends to negotiate and award a sole source purcahse order with Clark Mosquito Control, 110 East Erving Park Road, Roselle, IL 60170 for 240 bags of Vectobac G larvacide, each bag is 40 pounds. *****MacDill AFB intends to issue a purchase order to Clark Mosquito Control under the authority of FAR 6.302-01, only one responsible sources and no other supplies and services will satisfy the existing agency requirements, for the following reasons stated in the Justification and Approval: The brand name, Vectovac G, was approved for use at MacDill due to its low active ingrediate rate of 2.80% or .078 lbs and lasting effects up to a week. Valient BioScience Corporation is the manufacturer of Vectobac G, Clarke Mosquito Control is the sole distibutor for the Vectobac G product for Valient BioScience. As identified in MacDill AFB's Integrate Pest Managements Plan, page 61, Annex 8A, the aircraft performing aerial surveillance and treatment two to three times a week at the southern quadrant of MacDill AFB for mosquito larval, has been calibrated for the dispersment of Vectobac G pellets. ***** This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-20 effective 06 September 2007, DFAR DCN 20070906 and AFFAR AFAC 20070823. This procurement is a 100% set aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 325320, the size standard of which is 500 employees. The Standard Industrial Classification *sic) is 2879.
