- This is a notice of intent of The Chalmers P. Wylie, Department of Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic, 543 Taylor Avenue, Columbus, OH 43203-1278 to solicit a sole source award with Ohio Willow Wood Company for the procurement of the OMEGA Tracer System. This specialized equipment will be used in the Prosthetics Lab to aide in custom prosthetic orthotic shape capture and allows users to apply patient measurements to templates in software to create custom shapes for spinal, knee, AFO, or transfemoral transtibia patients. The VA believes that only one business can satisfy the agency requirements and intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Other persons may indentify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by September 26, 2007. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. No solicitation will be made available and all information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the government. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
