Description

The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title III of the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949 (41 U.S.C. 251, et seq.) and Title 40 U.S.C. 501, Services for Executive Agencies. The FAR citation is 8.405-6(b)(1) and the FAR citation title is limited sources justification and approval. Only one source is capable of responding due to the unique or specialized nature of the work. The proposed contractor for this action is the incumbent, Intellidyne. Intellidyne currently is the only contractor able to provide these services immediately (without a minium of a 2 month transition period).
