- Hospital Linen Synopsis The contractor shall, except as specified in the Performance Work Statement as Government furnished property or services, provide all labor, equipment, supervision, management, supplies, bulk delivery carts, transportation, and facilities necessary to perform bulk hospital laundry and linen services at Mountain Home AFB, Idaho. Laundering services shall be provided at the contractor-owned and operated facility. Services shall include laundering, pick-up, and delivery of linens by contractor personnel. In order to be evaluated for award, the contractor shall meet OSHA Standards 29 CFR 1910.1030 (Bloodborne Pathogens), NIOSH 2000-135 (What Every Worker Should Know: How to Protect Yourself From Needlestick Injuries), The Guidelines for Healthcare Linen Service ? 1999 (The Guidelines for Healthcare Services), Health Care Infection Control Practices Adcisory Committee (Guidelines for Environmental Infection Control in Healthcare Facilities). The solicitation will result in a firm fixed-price contract with a base year and four (4) one-year options. Base year period of performance will be from 1 Oct 07 through 30 Sep 08. This acquisition is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this solicitation is 812320 and the small business size standard is $4,500,000. A formal Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about 9 August 07 via Fed Biz Opps (FBO). All prospective offerors are encouraged to register for notification through FBO to obtain any amendments or other information pertaining to this solicitation. All offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov) in order to be eligible for award. Registration requires a DUNS number and may take up to three weeks to process. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
