Description
This is a modification to the synopsis entitled Science and Space Exploration Technology Support which was posted on June 22, 2007. You are notified that the following changes are made: The proposed contract for Science and Space Exploration Technology Support (SSETS) will utilize Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF) and Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract structures. The Contracting Officer will issue task orders to the Contractor, providing specific authorization or direction to perform work within the scope of the contract. The anticipated period of performance will be five (5) years. Estimated total contract value is $15 million. The proposed contract will be awarded upon expiration of cooperative agreement NCC3 975, National Center for Space Exploration Research, performed by Universities Space Research Association. This is an unrestricted procurement. Small business subcontracting goals have not been specified for this procurement. The offeror will be required to submit a Small Business Subcontracting Plan with the proposal. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541710, Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences. The Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees (average employment of a firm). Calculation of average employment of a firm can be found in 13 CFR 121.106. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO-C9. Anticipated dates regarding this procurement: Draft Request for Proposal (RFP): early to mid October 2007. Fourteen (14) calendar day written response time. Draft Solicitation Number NNC08215212J. Final RFP: mid to late November 2007. Thirty (30) calendar day written response time. Solicitation Number NNC08215212R. Contract Award: mid to late May 2008. The due date for responses is not extended. Documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
