- Construct a 348 SM facility to house satellites for a short term in the event of a hurricane. Constructed of concrete, will have an elevated asphaltic concrete roadway, pilings, earthen fill, erosion protection, HVAC generator, fire suppression, pot able water, sanitary sewer, fuel storage tank, bridge crane, nitrogen gas piping, doors and louvers to meet high wind loads. Demolition of small existing building, access ramp, concrete paving. No asbestos, lead paint or hazardous materials involved in d emolition. Note No. 1: Federal Technical Data System (FedTeDS), is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safeguard acquisition-related information for all Federal agencies. All prospective contractors and their subcontractors and suppliers must be registered in FedTeDS before they will be allowed to download solicitation information. The solicitation will be available only as a direct download. This solicitation will not be issued on CD-ROM. Neither telephonic, mailed, nor fax requests will be a ccepted. SONYA KING, AT PHONE (251) 690-2537, FAX (251) 694-4343. **************************************************************************************************** Note No. 7: A pre-proposal conference will be conducted at the: Cape Canaveral AFS, Florida DATE: 30 October 2007 TIME: 0900 hrs (local time) LOCATION: Cape Canaveral AFS, Building 55855, Engineering Support Facility, Room #1002. a. All interested proposers are urged to attend. During this conference, the requirements set forth in the solicitation will be reviewed and discussed, with part of the conference to include a question and answer period. Tour of the site will follow th e conference. The duration of the conference and tour will be approximately one (1/2) day. b. It is requested that a representative of each offeror attend the pre-proposal conference. Number of attendees is limited to four from each firm. Names of individuals from each company who will attend the conference should reach the following addresse e no later than five (5) working days prior to the conference. c. All attendees to the pre-proposal conference must register in advance with the Resident Engineer at Patrick AFB, Florida. Attendees must register no later than 4:00 PM (EDT) on 22 October 2007. Each attendee must include his/her full name, company, Social Security Number (SSN), citizenship, and must indicate whether he/she needs a badge to access Cape Canaveral AFS, Florida. All attendees MUST register even though they may already have a val id badge for CCAFS. All attendees must bring a photo ID (such as a valid drivers license) the day of the pre-proposal conference. Individuals who do not possess a badge for CCAFS will be issued a temporary white photo badge the day of the conference. Pl ease allow plenty of time at the badging office. This badge will allow the individual access to CCAFS without an escort. e. The pre-proposal conference will begin at 9:00 am on Friday, 30 October 2007. The conference will be held at Cape Canaveral AFS, Building 55855, Engineering Support Facility, Room #1002. After the pre-proposal conference, the group will depart for t he project site for a short site tour. Photographs of the site will not be allowed during the site visit. Note No. 8: * THIS IS A COMPETITIVE 8 (A) SET-ASIDE This procurement is a Competitive 8(a) Set-Aside as established by Section 8 (a) of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 637(a)). Only those firms meeting the Small Business Administration's (SBA) criterion, and have previously been certified by the SBA as a n 8(a) Contractor, are eligible to compete for this procurement. It has been determined by the SBA that competition will be restricted to 8(a) firms which have a NAICS code of 236220 among their approved NAICS Codes and which are serviced by the following SBA District Offices: Restricted to contractors from the State of Florida.
