- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The U.S. Joint Task Force North, Biggs Army Air Field, Texas intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with WHITLOCK GROUP, Texas for the acquisition of the following commercial items: (1) A/V Equipment to upgrade the Clarity Lions at JOCC. (2) TANDBERG Equipment and Services to upgrade VTC at JOCC. This is a sole source procurement under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1) and (FAR 13.501). THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES, however; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 4 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in SUFFICIENT detail to demonstrate the abil ity to comply with the requirements listed above. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Governmen t. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation. Responses are due on 21 September 2007 by 16:30 p.m. MST. Telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted.
