- Description
- Youngstown Air Reserve Station intends to award a sole source non personal service contract to Manatee County Mosquito Control District. The contractor has the unique experience and technological expertise to produce the type of analysis required by the Air Force and the U.S. EPA for sizing droplet spectra produced by Ultra Low Volume (ULV) nozzles. The purpose of the contract is to prepare, test, analyze and tear down high speed (200+ knots) to analyze the droplet spectrum for the nozzles such as TeeJet stainless steel fan nozzles used by modular aerial spray systems (MASS). Additionally, the wind tunnel will test the structural integrity of the Rotary Atomizer Miconair AU 4000 and Dyna-Fog ASC -A10. The test will determine how the two nozzles disperse chemicals at the rate needed.
