- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Visual Sonics, Tornoto, ON , CAN , M4N3B1, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This purchase is for: 1) (1 each) SA-11427 Upgrade of Vevo 660 to Vevo 770 Imagining System, 120v, to include: VS11182, VS11183, VS11484, SA11436; 2) (1 each) SA11433- Vevo integrated rail system III; 3) (1 each) VS-SHIPUS Vevo System Shipping; 4) (1 each) VS-Install system installation (United States). The Vevo system by VisualSonics is the only imaging instrument that provides a single platform for anatomical (to 30 um), functional, physiological and molecular data collection in real tim, in vivo and is also no-invasive. The upgrade from the Vevo 660 to Vevo 770 is needed to improve resolution for anatomical detail and increase the physiological data obtained, and manipulation for ongoing existing projects. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability. Respond to this requirement by submitting written capabilities/specifications to the Contract Specialist at the address stated above. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within 5 days from the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 8 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Visual Sonics.
