- This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using the simplified acquisition procedures for commercial items (FAR Part 12)to procure GeoRover by the HQ USAINSCOM, Directorate of Contracting,ATTN:IAPC-DOC,8825 Beulah Street,Fort Belvoir ,VA 22060-5246.The Govt intends to award a sole source contract(FAR Part 13.5) for the above product to the firm of Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), 8301 Greensboro Drive,McLean,VA 22102.Note:This firm is the sole developer as well as sole manufacturer/distributor of this GeoRover Software Application product.The proposed contract action is for software maintenance support for which the Government intends to solicit only one source.Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1,Only one responsibl e source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements.DELIVERY: 25 September 2007.All responses received within 3 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Governm ent not to compete this proposed purchase order/contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive pr ocurement.
