Description
The description of the previous synopsis is changed to read, A Draft Request for Proposal in electronic format only will be available for download on or about September 13, 2007 on the Army Single Face to Industry (AFSI) website at https://acquisitio n.army.mil/asfi/solicitation_search_form.cfm A direct link to the solicitation is https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/solicitation_view.cfm?psolicitationnbr=W911KB08R0001 No disks shall be mailed. Any resulting contract will be firm-fixed priced. The Nor th American Industrial Classification System code is 237990, which has a size standard of $31.0 million in average annual receipts. The award will be based on Best Value in accordance with FAR Part 15. The government shall not be responsible for proposal preparation costs. To receive award contractors must be registered in the CCR at www.ccr.gov The requirement for the submission of both performance and payment bonds, in an amount equivalent to 100% of the award price and a bid guarantee for 20% of the bid price or $3,000,000, whichever is less shall be applicable. Therefore, the successful firm shall have the capability to acquire such bonding. In addition an offer guarantee is also required. The Davis-Bacon Act will apply. Joint ventures must also be registered in CCR as a joint venture. We advise contractors beg in this process as soon as possible. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Perform maintenance dredging of an estimated 2,000,000 cubic yards of material per year at the Port of Anchorage, Alaska. The c ontractor is to furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to accomplish the work. The period of work is May 1, 2008 to November 2008 (Base Items 2008) and May 1, 2009 to November 1, 2009 (Option al Items 2009) (if awarded). The Estimated Magnitude of Construction is more than $10,000,000. A Pre-Proposal Conference for this project will be held on October 18 and 19, 2007 at the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District, Kaiser Room, 4735 Ea st Marginal Way South, Seattle, Washington 98134-2329. NOTE: The Seattle District Corps of Engineers Building is a secure facility. Non-Corps Attendees will be required to present a photo ID at the main entrance to the building. A Visitors Pass will be issued to all participants, which must be worn at all times while on the premises. Attendees will be accompanied to the Kaiser Room.
