- NA Synopsis: A firm fixed-price five-year requirements contract is anticipated for the following items in support of the Improved Chemical Agent Detector (ICAM): Protective Dust Cap; NSN: 6665-01-382-3203; Part Number: 442-492 Nozzle Protective Cap Assy: NSN: 6665-01-382-0201; Part Number: 442-674 Protective Dust Cap consists of Environmental Cap, Seal, Compression Ring, Retaining Strap, and Spring Pin. The Cap is machined from aluminum alloy, A96061, Temper T-6, IS 1.734 IN O.D. X 1078 in high; seals are synthetic molded rubber, Class 2, Type A, G rade 80, Color Black and retaining strap is molded from Virgin Zytel and 0.029-.100 in O.D. Nozzle Protective Cap Assembly consists of; Sieve Assembly, Sealing Ring, Outer Body, Inner Body, O-Ring and Nozzle Seal. The parts are ejection molded parts from Virgin Zytel, super tough, 33% Glass Fiber Reinforced, Heat Stabilized, Color, Black, Compou nd No. 80G 33 HIS-L, BK104 Reground Material MAY NOT BE USED. The filter is activated carbon and molecular sieve. When part is assembled, it must be tested for water leakage. Military packaging is required. FOB is destination. The approximate issue da te will be November 7, 2006 with an approximate response date of December 7, 2006. First Article Test is required. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
