- Services to provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, and transportation for repair of a 1980 Champion Model 740A Road Grader located at Black River Pump Station on the San Carlos Apache Reservation, Graham County, Arizona. Scope of Work: a. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, replacement parts, installation, and transportation to perform repair service as necessary at your repair facility. b. Work to include: transport road grader to and from Pump Station site and your repair facility; replace engine with factory re-manufactured same model engine; repair power steering; install a "road gear" to enable grader to travel at road speeds; replace ignition switch with like kind; replace tires with like kind; inspect and evaluate the hydraulic control system; inspect and evaluate grader for any additional work needed to fully recondition the grader for reliable operation. c. Observations of operating problems of the grader: upon starting the engine, the steering wheel is difficult to turn, but after about 20 minutes, the steering turns freely; "road gear" is needed to allow grader to move at road speeds, as grader currently moves at crawl speed suitable for grading; there are no known problems with hydraulic control system, but inspection and evaluation are required, and cost and details of any needed re-conditioning may be negotiated. Cost and details of any other identified repairs may be negotiated. d. Items shall be restored to a serviceable condition that will enable them to perform their intended function. e. Prior to performing any repairs, submit repair plan to Contracting Officer Representative for approval. 3. Other: Provide operating manuals, manufacturer information, and warranty information. 4. This IS NOT set aside for a small business, but small businesses meeting the criteria above are encouraged to submit a quote.
