- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, Wilmington Contracting Office is soliciting offers under Request for Quotation (RFQ) No. W912HN-07-T-0082 to refurbish dam stop-logs stored at the B. Everett Jordan Dam located on the Haw River in the upper Cape Fear River Basin in Chatham County, North Carolina. The work shall include, but not limited to, blasting, painting, and replacement of rubber seals. The contractor will be required to provide all labor, materials, equipment and transportati on necessary to retrieve ten (10) each dam stop-log units weighting between 5,000 6,825 lbs each which are being stored at the Maintenance Yard at B. Everett Jordan Dam and refurbish them at their facility as described in the scope of work. The area of consideration is limited to facilities with a 150-mile radius of Raleigh, North Carolina. The period of performance for this work is ninety (90) calendar days after contract award. This action will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and awarded under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. RFQ No. W912HN-07-T-0082 will be available on or about 17 September 2007. Solicitation documents and specifications will be available via the Federal Technical Data Sol ution (FedTeDs) system webpage at https://www.fedteds.gov. Interested parties must register as a Vendor with FedTeDs before accessing the system. In order to register as a Vendor in FedTeDs, offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registrat ion (CCR) system (http://www.ccr.gov). Interested offerors can access the data for this solicitation through the hyperlink established in the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) system (http://www.fedbizopps.gov) announcement, which will redirect to the solicitation-specific data in FedTeDs. Registration for updates to specifications should be made on the FedBizOpps webpage for this solicitation. The FedTeDs system does not allow for offerors to perform a search for solicitation data. All search es can be performed through the FedBizOpps system. Offers will be due on 26 September 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time and shall be mailed or hand-carried to 69 Darlington Avenue, Wilmington, NC 28403, ATTN: Jenifer M. Bordelon prior to the date and time specified in the solicitation or may be faxed to the Attn of Jenifer M. Bordelon at 910-251-4454. Offerors are responsible for printing paper copies of the solicitation. Hard copies will not be available. This procurement is 100% Small Business Set-Aside.
