Description
STATEMENT OF WORK The John D Dingell Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 4646 John R. Street, Detroit, MI 48201 intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Compumedics USA, 7850 Paseo Del Norte, El Paso, TX 79912. The proposed contract action is for the purchase of a Siesta 802-PSG multifunction Wireless and Ambulatory Recording System. This Siesta 802-PSG System is unique in that it provides a wireless integrated platform for the simultaneous measurement of multiple physiological parameters, including electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography, eye movements, respiratory movements and respiratory gases in a single system and also provides HL7 interface and database capabilities. It also is supplemental with a video-monitoring system. The wireless nature of the system is crucial as it allows "portability" in that the system can be easily relocated to a different area of the hospital in a short notice. The system must have the capability for HL7/Vista interface. This interface is imperative for the system to be compatible with CPRS System. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. All FAR provisions and clauses may be reviewed and/or obtained from the General Service internet address: http://www.arnet.gov/far. This notice of intent is not a request is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely the discretion of the government. Firms that believe they can meet the VA's requirements must submit proof to the Contracting Officer, Barbara Wilkinson, either by fax (313)576-1327 or e-mail: Barbara.Wilkinson@va.gov, no later than September 21, 2007 at 10:00a.m. local time. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the government.
