Description
The FAA intends to solicit and award a firm-fixed price contract for the project noted above. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment in accordance with the contract provisions, specifications and drawings. The work shall include, but is not limited to the following: 1. Provide replacement Chiller and Condenser both with electrical rating of 460VAC/ 3 Phase/ 60 Hertz. 2. Manually drain clean and dry residual water in all trap areas and other low points of the refrigerant lines to and from the failed chiller CH3 and its remote condenser. 3. Perform Demolition of the chiller and the condenser. 4. Remove failed chiller and condenser and install new replacement chiller and condenser. 5. Reconnect power and controls connection to the chiller and condenser. 6. The water shall be removed by dehydration with a vacuum pump and cold trap. 7. Clean all affected refrigerant lines. Contract performance time is estimated at 30 days, with an anticipated start for Fall 2007. The estimated price range for this procurement is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. NAICS is 236220. INTERESTED FIRMS MUST HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED SIMILAR PROJECTS BOTH IN DOLLAR AMOUNT AND SCOPE OF WORK AT AN OPERATIONAL AIRPORT. THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS WILL BE FURNISHED TO THE FIRST FIVE CONTRACTORS WHO RESPOND TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
