Description
The Coast Guard intends to award a "Sole Source Contract" for the continued developement of the Enhanced Loran Receiver Research (ELRR). The Contract involves usage of PROPIETARY SOFTWARE developed under the first contract. The original contract required two separate receivers to be developed. This contract shall merge those two receivers into one combined unit that can perform all of the required features. The following is a brief list of the second phase development required functions from each existing receiver that needs to combined: 1.Monitor and Navigation Priorities: The Enhanced Loran Research Receiver (ELRR) shall be capable of operating as a monitor site's receiver that is generating the differential corrections for transmission from a Loran Station or it shall be capable of being set to user mode, either in stationary or dynamic environments, that is a user of the differential corrections. This receiver shall be capable of utilizing E-field or H-field antennas, and it shall also be capable of outputting all raw data to an Ethernet connection in real time. 2. Timing Priority: The Loran Disciplined Rubidium (LDR) shall be capable of demodulating the eLoran 9th Pulse and deriving time-of-day in a GPS-void environment from either an E-field or H-field antenna. This receiver shall be capable of steering its own frequency reference to eLoran or free running off its own Rb in the absence of Loran. The receiver shall also be able to produce the following timing signals: 1PPS, 10MHz, IRIG-B, and NTP.
