- Description
- The National Library of Medicine (NLM) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) proposes to procure from TriMech Manufacturing Incorporated, 4461 Cox Road, Suite 302, Glen Allen, VA 23060. The requirement consists of the acquisition of the Dimension Elite 3D printer system to support collaborative biomedical technology development projects involving high performance computing in medical imaging and signal analysis. The 3D printer is capable of producing models, as well as, functional mechanical components necessary to generate a broad range pf biomedical and clinical research products (i.e. robotics). . The maintenance Period of Performance is one year. This acquisition is less than the Simplified threshold. This support will be performed under the warranty. TriMech Manufacturing Incorporated is the only party known to NIH that can meet the above requirements for the network/system. A Sole Source is warranted to maintain the continuity of the environment, avoid service disruptions, and provide the best value to the government. This is not a solicitation for competitive proposals. However, if any other interested party believes that it can meet the requirements it may submit a statement of capabilities. The capability statement and any other information furnished must be in writing, and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow NIH to determine if the party can meet all of the foregoing requirements. Offers must also be accompanied by descriptive literature, warranties, and/or other information that demonstrates that the offer meets all of the foregoing requirements. Capability statements and related materials must be received in this office by 4:00 p.m. EST on the closing date of this announcement.
