- The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), the Department of Defense Medical School and Health Sciences University, hereby announces its intent to award a sole source purchase order to ADInstruments in Colorado Springs, CO to purchase a MPVS-Ultra Pressure-Volume System, a large animal hemodynamic monitoring system for measuring blood pressure, cardiac volume, and other hemodynamic variables. ADInstruments, the manufacturer of the MPVS-Ultra Pressure-Volume System, is the only company that makes a system that can measure volume in the heart at the same time in order to study the systolic and diastolic properties of the heart in a large animal. This award is IAW FAR Part 13.106(b) and authorizes USUHS to award contracts when only one source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
