- Description
- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for Three (3) Quad-SPCM detector modules (Model: SPCM-AQ4C). The PDM-100 is one of the only models that meet all of our requirements. Our requirements are as follows: 1. >100um active diameter 2. >2% detection efficiency at 1064nm. 3. <500 dark cps- 4. >5 MHz gating rate 5. >2 M counts-per-sec 6. <500 psec timing jitter 7. 100 um stepped index fiber coupling 8. Built-in TE cooler & controller 9. Form and function compatibility with the existing PE SPCM single channel modules that we currently have. NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Perkin Elmer Optoelectronics in accordance with the requirements of FAR 13.106 (b)(1), for the acquisition of supplies and services determined to be reasonably available from only one source. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on September 26, 2007. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
