- The WR GRACE at Curtis Bay FUSRAP (Formerly Utilized Site Remedial Action Program) Site, Baltimore, MD is being investigated for the nature and extent of low-level radiological contamination that was buried on the plant property in the 1950s in an a rea referred to as the RWDA (Radioactive Waste Disposal Area). Currently, the Feasibility Study (FS) is in the Draft Final version and was conducted under contract number W912DR-05-D-0008-0012 in 2006 and 2007 by EA Engineering, Inc., of Hunt Valley, Mary land. Additional efforts have been identified to complete the FS since the completion of the task order. These tasks include: incorporating additional stakeholder comments; updating the site conceptual model to reflect the October 2005 Supplemental Site Investigation data and documenting the file review in a technical memorandum for the Sledds Point. This purchase order will allow EA to finalize RWDA FS. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requir ement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received by 19 September 2007 after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Govern ment not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive p rocurement.
