Description
The U.S. Army, ARDEC, Rapid Prototype Integration mission requires a broad range of suppliers to assist in-house design, fabrication, and testing experts in providing rapid technology solutions/products for the field and PM Customers, especially in the areas of Lethality, Counter-lethality, and to support other RDECOM/AMC/Army rapid fabrication missions. ARDEC desires to award multiple contracts to provide fabrication, assembly, integration, or test/qualification capabilities, as well as providing materials, equipment, and engineering services. These services and capabilities will support the design, development, manufacture and integration of unique, difficult-to-obtain, solutions ranging from individual prototypes to initial low-rate-production levels. The ability to reach out to small businesses, Academe, and other providers is required to integrate novel and unique technology solutions into rapid prototypes and solutions. Specific lethal and counter-lethal rapid support consists of the following major categories that the government will use any single category or combination of categories: 1. Providing Materials: To include energetics, polymers, adhesives, coatings, metals, electronics, optics, lasers, and any material to fabricate a weapon, armament, munition, or to integrate with any tactical vehicle. 2. Component Fabrication: To include capabilities to provide any armament, non-energetic, energetic, and/or electronic components or to provide equipment and installation at ARDEC facilities. 3. Product Assembly: To include combining any or all armament, nonenergetic, energetic, optic, laser, and/or electronic component to a final lethal, scalable, or counter-lethality, platform, armament, or product or to provide equipment and installation at ARDEC facilities. 4. Systems Engineering and Integration: To include the systems engineering process, systems of systems compatibility, integration, and/or product fielding. 5. Testing Support and Capabilities: To include the full range of analytical, material, and system testing for basic energetic and non-energetic raw materials, products, and/or components; to support the development of Quality Acceptance Criteria, and fabrication of specific acceptance materials; to be able to support both destructive/functional and non destruction testing of energetic and non energetic components and end items or to provide equipment and installation at ARDEC facilities. 6. To provide the full range of engineering services to support the life cycle engineering needs from concept to demilitarization including fielding and operational sustainment. This includes: a. The full breath of Modeling and Simulation to include Computer Aided Design, Computer Aided Engineering, Computer Aided Manufacturing. b. Project Management c. Product Life Cycle Information Technology and Knowledge Capture d. Facilities Engineering to include process and equipment layout, installation, and acceptance. e. Process, Product, and Quality Engineering, and associated Information Technology expertise to provide knowledge management. Responses to this market survey shall be accepted electronically up until close of business on 30 September 2007. All interested parties should submit their information to the following Points of Contact (POC): andrew.perich@us.army.mil.
