- Description
- The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System intends to issue a sole source procurement to Rorke Data, 7626 Golden Triangle Drive., Eden Prairie, MN under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This procurement is to obtain a Video Storage System compatible with existing Video Editing System currently in use at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. This system must be performance tested and certified compatible with the existing Media 100, 844X Video Finishing System by the vendor's engineering staff with submission of Engineering credentials and certification. This system includes a one year warranty consisting of 9x5 toll-free telephone technical support, guaranteed next day replacement of all hardware components, all software updates consisting of minor updates and major upgrades for a one-year period with option to renew annually. It is the belief of the Government that there is currently only one responsible source capable of providing this equipment to satisfy the agency requirement including the certification of compatibility. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification, accompanied by supporting evidence in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements, to the contracting officer within ten (10) days from the date of publication of this synopsis. All responses must be in writing via e-mail to Cheryl.Weidner@med.va.gov or faxed to 412-365-5451. If no responses are received, VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System will proceed with the sole source procurement from Rorke Data.
