- The Department of Veterans Affairs North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS) intends to acquire product and instruments from Synthes Inc. (dba) Synthes USA, 1302 Wrights Lane East, West Chester, Pennsylvania 19380. These items are used for internal and external orthopedic surgeries. The contractor shall provide various quantities and sizes of bone screws, bone plates, sleeves, guide wires, couplings, stylets, brushes, forceps, measuring devices, and drills to VANTHCS. The Government, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, intends to solicit from only one source. All FAR provisions and clauses may be reviewed and obtained at www.arnet.gov. This notice of our intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract, based upon the responses received, is solely at the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a response to this solicitation no later than September 18, 2007 at 2:00 PM., CST in order to be considered a timely response.
