- This is a Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract for the purchase of a Room Sterilizer System under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) to Zimek Technologies, LLC. A justification of using other than full and open competition ? simplified acquisition has been prepared. Zimek Technologies, LLC is the manufacturer of the Z-4060A Room Sterilizer and the only known source of the system and required associated peripheral equipment to include: One Z-vac Micro-Particle Evacuator; Two Z-vac filters (2 sets); One Vehicle Sterilization Overlay; One ? pallet ? Zimek QD Disinfectant Solutions (four gallons per box). This system uses an advanced micro-particle disinfectant process called Dri-Mist which eliminates harmful environmental contaminants such as MRSA, VRE, Hepatitis C, the bird flu and other nosocomial pathogens, toxic mold, insects, and allergens that can be found in almost every indoor setting. The products are considered commercial items in accordance with FAR Part 2 and are to be purchased utilizing simplified acquisition procedures in FAR Subpart 13.1. The above named vendor is believed to be the only source of the Zimek Room Sterilizer System. This notice of intent is NOT a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for competitive quotes. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to provide the required products in writing via email or fax to Phyllis H.
