Description
The Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Marine Ecosystems Division intends to sponsor scientific, technical and policy guidance from the Third International Deep-See Corals Symposium held at the University of Miami's Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric science in Miami, Florida in December 2005. This sponsorship will be procured on a non-competitive basis in accordance with FAR Parts 6 and 13, current through Federal Acquisition Circular (FA) 2005-20. The University of Miami services will publish the scientific manuscripts that have been reviewed and accepted for publication in a special volume set for release in their Fall of 2007 'Bulletin of Marine Science Journal. This sponsorship will provide NOAA with complimentary copies of the proceedings and additional copies for Co-Editors (Drs. Robert George and Stephen Cairns). Notwithstanding the Government's intent to negotiate this requirement on a single source basis under the authority of 41 USC 253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, any source possessing the capabilities to provide the required service may submit a statement of qualifications which, if timely received, will be considered by NOAA. Responses must be received no later than 12:00 Noon (EST), Tuesday, September 18, 2007. Responses must be emailed to shirley.l.johnson@noaa.gov, or faxed to (301) 713-0806. Award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures.
