- Description
- The Defense Distribution Center currently has a requirement for Kyocera brand name or equal laser printers. The Defense Distribution Center has a critical requirement to print and distribute large amounts of pick tickets and Issue Receipt Release Documents (IRRD) as well as various specific graphics, bar coded reports and forms from the Government?s primary Warehouse Management System, DSS, as well as other Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) J6 maintained systems. These output procedures are sent to laser printers of various sizes and capacities from a mainframe using VTAM Printer Support (VPS) as a print driver and using TCP/IP LPD to print in various locations throughout the world. The print stream/data stream is created using either the PRESCRIBE graphics language or PCL6 or mixed. To meet this objective, the government intends to issue a request for proposal for an estimated 544 Kyocera brand name or equal laser printers, including models FS-820 without Net Card (US Power), FS-820 with Net Card (US Power), FS-2000DN (US Power, Mandatory Net Card), FS-2000DN 220V/50 Cycle (Mandatory Net Card), FS-4000DN (US Power, Mandatory Net Card), FS-4000DN 220V/50 Cycle (Net Card Mandatory), and FS-9530 (US Power, Net Card Mandatory). The printers must be energy star compliant. The printers will be used for the following Defense Distribution Centers: Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna, Mechanicsburg, PA (DDSP) Defense Distribution Depot Anniston, AL (DDAA) Defense Distribution Depot Albany, GA (DDAG) Defense Distribution Center Hill, UT (DDHU) Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna, Mechanicsburg, PA (DDSP) J6N Defense Distribution Depot Corpus Christi, TX (DDCT) Defense Distribution Depot Guam (DDGM) Defense Distribution Center San Joaquin, CA (DDJC) Defense Distribution Mapping Agency, Richmond, VA (DDMA) Defense Distribution Center Norfolk, VA (DDNV) Defense Distribution Center Oklahoma, OK (DDOO) Defense Distribution Center Pearl Harbor, HI (DDPH) Defense Distribution Center Puget Sound, WA (DDPW) Defense Distribution Center Red River, TX (DDRT) Defense Distribution Center Richmond, VA (DDRV) Defense Distribution Center San Diego, CA (DDDC) Defense Distribution Depot Tobyhanna, PA (DDTP) Defense Distribution Center Warner Robins, GA (DDWG) Defense Distribution Center Yokosuka, Japan (DDYJ) Defense Distribution Center Europe, Germersheim, GE (DDDE) Defense Distribution Depot San Diego, CA (DDDC) Defense Distribution Center Korea (DDDK) Defense Distribution Depot San Joaquin, Tracy, CA (DDJC) The government intends to award a firm-fixed price commercial contract to accomplish the procurement and delivery of the printers referenced above. Delivery is required no later than 30 days after receipt of the order/contract. This acquisition is set aside for small business. The applicable NAICS code is 334119. The size standard is 1,000 employees. All interested and responsible parties may submit a proposal that will be considered by the Defense Distribution Center. The solicitation number is SP3100-07-R-0029, and it will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities Website on or about July 25, 2007.
