- The United States Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Infantry Weapons Systems, Quantico, Virginia intends to award a Sole Source Firm-Fixed Priced Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract to BRP US Inc. of Beloit, WI for the following Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) items. A minimum quantity of twenty (20) and up to a maximum quantity of one-thousand (1,000) Non-gasoline Burning Outboard Engines (NBOE). The NBOE is a 55 hp, two-cycle, inline outboard engine. The NBOE operates on a variety of fuels, including gasoline, JP-5, JP-8, and diesel. In addition, the NBOE will be submersible, as well as having the ability to rope start without a battery. This contract will also be used for the purchase of misc. spare parts and will be awarded under FAR Part 12. BRP US Inc. is the only known vendor of these engines and is therefore the only vendor deemed qualified to provide this item. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 3 33618, Engines, internal combustion (except aircraft, nondiesel automotive), manufacturing. All contractors who provide goods/services to the DoD must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR). Online Certifications and Representations at (ORCA), http://orca.bpn.gov, will also be required. Failure to comply with ORCA registration may make a vendor offeror ineligible for award. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by submitting a white paper, technical data for the item, and past performance data no later 17 September 2007 to Commanding General, Marine Corps Systems Command, Attn: IWS ? Randall Jewett, 2200 Lester St., Quantico, VA 22134. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open basis is solely within the discretion of the Government.
