- Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, NC hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Ashland Inc, DBA: Ashland Specialty Chemicals, 1 Drew Plaza, Boonton, NJ under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(iii), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This requirement is for the acquisition of chemicals, specifically 19 drums of Advantage 1400 in 55 gallon drums and 10 drums of Amercor 1849 in 55 gallon drums, for use in Steam Plant boilers aboard Camp Lejeune. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available. Interested firms shall submit information that indicates their ability to satisfy this requirement. Responses are due by 3:00 PM, 11 September 2007, via facsimile or email.
