Description
NOTICE: Only local sources will be considered under this solicitation. Local sources are sources (e.g., corporations or partnerships) that are physically located in Japan and authorized (i.e., licensed and registered) to perform in Japan, the type of professional service specified in this solicitation. Specifically, a prospective offeror must be duly authorized to operate and conduct business in Japan and must fully comply with all laws, decrees, labor standards, and regulations of Japan during the performance of the resulting contracts. In addition, prior to award of the contracts, offerors must be registered with the Government of Japan to do work in Japan and possess necessary and permits to perform work specified in this solicitation. CONTRACT INFORMATION: Professional services is required to make temporary repair works to two (2) deeply eroded riprap-ditches located along the sharp slope of the Henoko Ammo Storage Place in order to stop further erosion. The two eroded riprap ditches are loca ted near Bldg. 1098 with the deepest spot of the eroded hole is about 1.5 meters, while the other repair works is located near Bldg. 1083, with a deepest spot of about 2.5 metes deep. The sharpness of the slope will require most of the work to be done man ually. The lowest point of erosion near Bldg. 1083 has numerous communication wires that are exposed due to the erosion. Temporary repair will include the combination of soil nailing, application of erosion control geo-textile, and energy dissipater. Req uest for Quotation (RFQ) No. W912HV-07-T-0032 will be available on 10 Sep 2007 and quotes are due 21 Sep 2007 and not later than 1500 hours Japan Standard Time.
