Description
The 36th Contracting Squadron intends to make a sole-source award to Coastal Environmental Systems for weather sensors, data accumulation and distribution equipment, support, structures along with personal services, technical support required to support the installation of two new instrumented landing systems (ILS) on the runway. This requirement will support the planned flight operations under Category 1 (CAT 1) instrument approach procedures. The AN/FMQ-19 AMS is an integrated suite of meterological instruments and information technology assets that was fielded by a competitively bided contract through FY06. This program was authorized under Program Management Directive 2326(5)/PE0305111F, dated 3 Jan 01, and titled Air Force Weather Weapon System (AFWWS) Program, with a USAF Precedence Rating of 2-09. Under the authority provided in Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.106-1(b) and 13.501, the Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. Interested parties are invited to submit information concerning their capabilities, experience and data pertinent to their ability to provide the same equipment for use in this project that meet the this requirement no later than 12 Sep 2007 at 12:00 pm (Eastern Standard Time, EST). Written responses must provide clear and concise documentation indicating your firm?s capability to provide the required equipment. This is not a request for proposal and the Government does not intend to pay for information submitted. Respondents will not be notified of the results of an evaluation of the information received. No contract award will be made on the basis of responses received; however, this information will be used in the Contracting Officers assessment of capable sources. The size limitation for email attachments is five megabytes per individual email message. Only email responses will be permitted. If after 12 Sep 2007 at 12:00 pm,EST no viable responses have been received in response to this announcement, the Contracting Officer shall initiate a contract award solely to Coastal Environmental Systems.
