- Description
- The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) proposes to procure from Carl Zeiss Co. One Zeiss Drive, Thornwood, NY 10594. Through the Test Program for Commercial Items (13.500) NIDCD intends to procure an upgrade package for an existing Zeiss Axioimager Z1 upright microscope,model #LSM510 V4.0, serial #3512001315.The upgrade package consist of a scanning module with two (2) confocal R/FL detectors, VIS laser modules (Ar-laser 458/488/514nm, 25mW, HeNe-laser 543nm 1mW, diode laser 405nm, 25mW,HeNe-laser 633nm 5mW) with quick continuous intensity attenuation (AOTF) for all lines, realtime electronics for flexible scanning strategies, cable set, flexible and extensive laser scanning microscope (LSM) 5 EXCITER control software for use with the government existing microscope stands ?AxioImager?, ?AxioObserver? SP/BP, and ?Axioskop?2FS MOT. 2. The scanning module shall have: Confocal beam path for two (2) channels. One (1) motorized main beam splitter wheel with six (6) positions that can be exchanged completely by the user. Two (2) symmetric galvanometer mirrors for high precision beam positioning. One (1) computer-controlled spatial filter with continuously variable pinhole size. ? Two (2) motorized emission filter wheels with eight (8) positions each for emission filters. 3. The Contractor shall provide a transmitted photomultiplier tube (PMT) for brightfield imaging or differential interference contrast (DIC) on inverted and upright microscopes. 4. The Contractor shall provide a can cable connector to work with LSM ECU box. 5. The Contractor shall provide a conversion cable required for 3.5/4.0 generation Pascal or equal shall be included. The cable shall convert fifteen (15) pin can cable to round plug on AxioImager. 6. The Contractor shall provide delivery and installation to the end user at the Government and Contractor appointed and agreed upon date scheduled. This installation shall take no more than two (2) days to complete. This is not a solicitation for competitive proposals. However, if any other interested party believes that it can meet the requirements it may submit a statement of capabilities. The capability statement and any other information furnished must be in writing, and must contain material in sufficeint detail to allow NIH to determine if the party can meet all of the foregoing requirements. Offers must be accompanied by descriptive literature, warranties, and/or other information that demonstrates that the offer meets all of the foregoing requirements.
