- Description
- The Joint IED Defeat Organization (JIEDDO) is soliciting white paper proposals for a state of the art standoff suicide bomber detection system, specifically: 1.) the best performing imaging sensor, 2.) software to perform real-time, automated or aided pedestrian suicide bomber detection from image and/or signature data, and 3.) operator display and alert of results. JIEDDO is seeking innovative, near-term automated or aided capabilities that can be rapidly developed, demonstrated and integrated within 6-18 months into existing or evolving suicide bomber detection systems. Proposals will be submitted electronically through a secure web-based submission site located at https://bids.acqcenter.com/JIEDDO. Located on this website is the BAA for Standoff Suicide Explosive Detection. This BAA describes the full process for the concept submission and evaluation as well as specific requirements for the mission area discussed above. NOTE: Potential offerors are highly encouraged to download the BAA package from the BIDS website. Registration in BIDS is required for offerors to submit their responses directly to JIEDDO.
