- REQUEST FOR CLARIFICATIONS Questions # 1. The bid request specifically has (8) and (3) units specified. Is this a definite/only number required to meet bid specifications or as in the past bid specifications any quantity could be quoted even though the same unit quantities were listed? Answer: The end user has identified a quantity they believe will meet or exceed the 400 cfm of airflow. The government will evaluate any innovative proposal that bids fewer units but still meets or exceeds this requirement. A site visit is being offered, which provides contractors the opportunity to submit a proposal to meet or exceed the airflow requirement. Questions # 2. One of the specifications lists an air flow of ?400 cfm? which is not an accepted industry standard for diesel exhaust removal systems. Is this spec correct or a minimum specification for reference only? Answer: There is no error with this specification. This standard was derived from MacDill AFB?s Bioenvironmental Flight and the 25th Edition of the Industrial Ventilation Manual (Guidelines MacDill AFB must follow). NOTE# 1: The only technical evaluation will be if the proposal meets or exceeds the 400 cfm. No other information will be considered. NOTE# 2. The deadline for submitting requests for clarifications is 7 Sep 07, 4 p.m. EST.
