- AMENDMENT #A01: THE FOLLOWING AMENDMENT SHALL BECOME AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. THIS INFORMATION SHALL MODIFY, ADJUST, CLARIFY, AND/OR ADD REQUIREMENTS TO THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. THE DATE OFFERS ARE DUE IS EXTENDED TO WED., 9/12/07. SITE VISITS MAY BE ARRANGED UP UNTIL RETURN PACKAGES ARE DUE. "RETURN SITE VISITS WITH SUBCONTRACTORS ARE ENCOURAGED. CONTACT HOWARD WILES @(410) 742-9261 TO SCHEDULE ACCESS TO THE BUILDING AND SITE". ATTACHMENTS: 1) ASBESTOS AND LEAD-BASED PAINT REPORT; 2) PLAN HOLDERS LISTS; 3) MODIFICATION TO THE DRAWINGS AND PROJECT MANUAL. The contractor must provide all material, labor, tool, plant, supplies, equipment, transportation, superintendence, temporary construction of every nature, and all other services and facilities necessary to complete the repair and alteration of a postal facility, including all incidental work described in the contract documents. The scope work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Demolition work includes the removal of existing air handling units, rooftop units, air-cooled chiller, and chilled water distribution piping, pumps, heating water distribution piping, miscellaneous ductwork and exhaust fans. Existing lights in areas where ceilings will be removed to gain access to the HVAC system components will also be removed. Power connections to HVAC equipment shall be removed. Existing ductwork shall generally remain but shall be cleaned. Existing boilers shall remain in place. New work shall include the provision of new gas-fired rooftop air conditioning units, associated smoke detector, structural supports and new ductwork as required to tie new rooftop units into existing distribution ductwork. Miscellaneous ductwork shall also be required where re-zoning of systems is necessary. Provide new gas distribution piping, new heating water pumps and heating water distribution piping, new air devices where required, and new exhaust fans. Work shall also include a complete air and water balancing of supply, return and exhaust air handling systems and heating water distribution systems. New temperature controls are to be provided as well. New electrical work includes new lighting in new ceiling areas, power connections to new HVAC equipment, expansion of the existing fire alarm system to accommodate the new smoke detectors and the balancing of electrical loads on existing panel-boards. New structural work includes minor modifications to existing steel roof structure to accept the new HVAC Rooftop Units and new roof curbs for those units. Other minor changes to existing walls are required to accommodate new ducts or piping. The estimated cost of the project is between $2,600,000 and $2,900,000 with construction completion within 365 calendar days from Notice to Proceed.
