Description
**THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY.** This is not a request for a quotation or a proposal. Any requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. No obligation is created by either the issuance or response to this RFI. The government does not intend to award a contract or to otherwise pay or reimburse any contractor for any effort expended in responding to this RFI. The information sought shall be considered Market Research IAW FAR Part 10.001. INTRODUCTION: The Government is interested in obtaining information concerning the ability to repair the T53-L-703 engine and associated components. Contractors must be Honeywell Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certified and all contractors and subcontractors/vendors must have a Federal Aviation Administration certificate to repair equipment that will be used on airborne aircraft. The vendor must also comply with all military specifications on material used in the items repaired. SCOPE: This request for information is directed to potential contractors who have demonstrated experience in the test, teardown, evaluation, overhaul, and repair of the T53-L-703 engine and associated components. The Government will use the information gathered in response to this RFI to refine the strategy for a potential repair effort. Further, this information will help the Government structure a program that will mitigate cost, schedule and performance risks. RFI QUESTIONS 1. What delivery timeframes are typical for whole engines and/or components? 2. What warranty, if any, is typical for the repair of this engine or components? 3. Please provide any additional feedback you feel is relevant in the developing of this requirement. Any information that is proprietary should be clearly marked. NOTE: Small businesses capable of providing fulfilling this type of requirement are encouraged to respond.
