- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) has a requirement for a contractor to provide Training Services for Employees with Disabilities on the use of Computers with Adaptive Devices. Training services will be required for Deaf or Hard of Hearing/Communication Devices Classes, Blind Synthetic Speech/ Braille Output Classes, Low Vision/Magnification Classes, Low Vision/Magnification and Synthetic Speech Classes, Mobility Impaired/Speech Recognition Classes and Non-disabled AT Training Classes. Training shall take place at SSA offices throughout the United States and its territories. Contractor personnel shall be required to undergo a complete background investigation. SSA anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price requirements contract with a base year and four (4) one-year options. Travel expenses will be reimbursed based on actual costs in accordance with federal travel regulations. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 611420. The size standard for this NAICS code is $6.50 million. This acquisition is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 regarding the acquisition of commercial items and FAR 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. Request For Quotations, number SSA-RFQ-07-1551, is scheduled for release on or about July 20, 2007, with quotes due no-later-than 20 calendar days thereafter. The solicitation will be available for downloading from the Federal Procurement website at www.fedbizopps.gov. HARD COPIES OF THIS RFQ WILL NOT BE MAILED. Offers received from other than small business sources will be deemed unacceptable and will not be considered. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (18-JUL-2007).
