- The U.S. Postal Service intends to award a Fixed Price Contract for Building Alterations and Expansion at the Carol Stream, IL ? Processing & Distribution Center located at 500 E. Fullerton, Carol Stream IL 60199 9997. This project will involve the renovation of existing workroom space to accommodate automation deployment. Work will include, but is not limited to, the demolition of a CMU blockhouse, relocation of a registry area, installation of a intrusion detection system, installation of criminal investigative system (CCTV), expansion of the existing computer room, installation of structured wiring system which includes fiber optic cabling, fire alarm connections to automation equipment, expansion of the existing electrical switchgear, installation of additional electrical for automation equipment, modifications to the existing HVAC system and the installation of additional air compressors. The construction cost range is $1,100,000 to $1,300,000. Construction completion time will be 240 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. In addition to price, proposals will be evaluated on: 1) schedule (50 points); 2) project management plan and approach (30 points) ; and 3) safety plan (20 points). Financial Capability will be (Pass/Fail). A pre-proposal conference will be held on September 19. 2007 at the Carol Stream Processing and Distribution Center at 10:00am CST. Proposal is due Thursday, October 4, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. CST. Carpenter St, Chicago, IL 60608 6) Lawdenski Construction, 1106 Morse Ave, Schaumburg, IL 60193 Solicitation documents will be available on or about September 7, 2007 and will be provided as requested for a non-refundable cost of up between $100.00 to $250.00. The preferred method of payment for the solicitation documents is by credit card. LDI will accept Master Card, Visa, or AMEX.
