- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) plans to negotiate a brand name requirement for Iqeye brand video wall integrated components. This security equipment is required to assist in SSA?s facility monitoring. Iqeye brand equipment is required because it has already been integrated into the existing Lenel system within SSA. The cameras will be supported by the manufacturer as well as Lenel; therefore, a third party integrator will not be required. This will ensure the facility and personnel are protected and not delayed by unforeseen development problems. Interested small businesses who feel they can provide a brand of camera other than Iqeye that will fulfill SSA?s needs may respond by submitting their product information via email to Deborah.r.wilson@ssa.gov by COB September 4, 2007. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a brand name or equal procurement. This notice does not constitute a solicitation for offers. A determination by the Government not to solicit brand name or equal equipment based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received by the closing date (09/04/2007), SSA will proceed with the brand name only solicitation for Iqeye equipment. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 423410. The size standard for this NAICS code is 100 employees. All questions and/or submissions to this notice must be submitted in writing to the email address referenced above. Telephone calls regarding this notice will not be accepted, nor will they be returned. Responses must reference SSA-RFQ-07-1827.
