Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The NAICS code is 532111. This announcement serves as the RFQ for rental vehicles for use in the Yuma Proving Ground, AZ area. CLIN items are as follows: CLIN 0001: 12 each, 12 Passenge r Vans; 10 each, mid size sedans and 2 each, Mini-vans needed from 25 September 2007 through 19 November 2007. CLIN 0002: 12 each, 12 Passenger Vans; 10 each, mid size sedans and 2 each, Mini-vans needed from 15 January 2008 through 25 March 2008. Vehicle s supplied shall be in good operational condition and shall be of a vintage no older than 24 months and no more than 36,000 miles. Vehicles must be properly registered for use in the State of Arizona and have current state safety inspections for that state s, if required. Vendor shall be able to provide replacement vehicles and roadside services within 24 hours of notification. Coordination of vehicle replacements or other services will be accomplished in or around the Yuma Proving Ground, Az area. State if your company or parent company participates in the U.S. Government Car Rental Agreement Number 3, managed by the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC). If your company/parent company does not take part in the Agreement, provide in de tail the collision and damage coverage of each vehicle. Inclusion of such coverage will be considered when evaluating the best value to the Government. When responding with a quote, include whether or not your quote includes such a waiver.Quotes shall in clude all mandatory fees that are applicable. The federal Government is exempt from paying state and local taxes. If required, SF 1094 or other evidence (see FAR subpart 29.305, State and local tax exemptions) will be provided. Award will be based on best value to the Government, which includes rental rates, mileage, waivers and availability. The Government reserves the right to make multiple awards if it is in the Governments best interest. Payment shall be based on usage only.
