- Description
- The Portland District Corps of Engineers intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for Cowlitz River Dredging 2008. The work is to dredge the Cowlitz River located in Longview, Cowlitz County, Washington, and disposing all dredged material to an adjacent upland disposal site. The Contractor shall be required to commence work not later than 15 days after Notice to Proceed (NTP), prosecute the work diligently, and complete the entire work not later than 28 February 2008. A Site Safety and Health Off icial (SSHO) shall be provided for all new contracts with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District. The person that will act as the SSHO for this project is required to have a minimum of 3 years safety work with similar projects and a 30 Hour OS HA construction safety class (or equivalent) taken within the last 3 years. The SSHO may have other duties for this work that include being the Contractor on-site Project Manager and/or the on-site CQC Manager or other responsible individual. This procurem ent is open to large and small business concerns; the Magnitude of Construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The solicitation will be posted electronically on FedTeDs (www.fedteds.gov) on or about 1 October 2007, with bids due 30 days after issuance.
