- Notice of Intent ? Sole Source The 10th Mission Support Group, Directorate of Contracting, United States Air Force Academy Colorado, intends to award a sole source commercial contract to Advanced Medical Optics (AMO). The requirement is to purchase an extended warranty Total Care Service Agreement for a base plus three option years. In addition to remote support, Advanced Medical Optics (AMO) will provide AMO certified engineers for on-site maintenance upgrades, software upgrades and on-site support for hardware repair. Advanced Medical Optics (AMO) holds proprietary rights for software used when servicing the Visx Excimer Laser Systems. Advanced Medical Optics (AMO) is the only source that can satisfy the government?s requirements. The North America Industry Classification System Code [NAICS] is 423460 and the size standard is 100 employees. All responsible sources may submit a response, which if timely received, will be considered by 10MSG/LGCB. This synopsis is for notification purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals. Any company that feels they can provide the extended warranty total care service agreement must submit their technical data (2 pages or less) to support their claim no later than 13 September 2007. The information must explain the company?s ability to overcome the restriction of proprietary rights. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this synopsis.
