Description
Provide technical assistance, training, and tabletop exercises to Air Force Space Command under the guidance and direction of the Chief, Nuclear Accident Response Branch. This technical assistance will provide the expertise and necessary staff support to fully implement Air Force Space Command?s nuclear weapon accident preparedness vision. This technical assistance effort will include: 1) Development or modification of training material as required, including: a) Response Task Force Orientation Course, b) Nuclear Weapon Accident Procedures Orientation Course, c) Minuteman Weapons System Orientation Course, and d) Radiation Emergency Procedures Orientation Course. 2) Coordination with Space Wing points of contact to ensure material is formatted in such a manner that it can be incorporated into the wing?s computer-based training library. 3) Modification of Air Force Space Command Instruction 10-1, Radiological Accident Preparedness and associated annexes, to incorporate guidance from the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Air Force Instruction 10-2501, Air Force Emergency Management Program Planning & Operations. 4) Delivery of the Response Task Force Orientation Course to the Air Force Space Command staff and each of the AFSPC ICBM Wings at F.E. Warren AFB Wyoming, Malmstrom AFB Montana, and Minot AFB North Dakota. 5) Delivery of a tabletop exercise at each of the ICBM wings in conjunction with the Response Task Force Orientation Course. Air Force Space Command will provide all necessary material including: 1) Air Force Space Command Instruction 10-1, Radiological Accident Preparedness; 2) Air Force Instruction 10-2501, Air Force Emergency Management Program Planning & Operations; and 3) all pertinent PowerPoint presentations and lesson plans requiring modification to the National Emergency Response & Rescue Training Center prior to commencement of this technical assistance.
